God’s Plan Unfolding

May God richly bless the staff, students and alumni of HDA.  God has a plan and that plan continues to unfold in my life as I keep my eyes and heart focused on HIM.  As a student, graduate ’61 and answering God’s call to serve on staff for 2 years, and serving as a missionary in Colombia and Mexico, HDA and the many varied and life-changing experiences there have, I feel, made a very positive impact on my life. I thank God for the time spent there, and the landmarks in faith I took away deep down in my heart when I left.  Today, after recently celebrating 69 years on this planet… I still marvel at how much I still  discover and learn about applying to my life God’s instruction for the very best for me and those I love and cherish. I look forward to hearing from any HDA family as you have time and liberty to contact me.  It is an honor for me to have received the benefit of the Vision and Ministry of HDA.  Really haven’t spent much time looking back at some of the less pleasant experiences at HDA.  But, the more I concentrate on those good experiences that I can look back and clearly see that the hand of God moved in the life of an 18-20 year old boy who wanted to, as even today, more than anything else, to stay firmly grounded and focused on serving and pleasing God. In spite of my own battles with a carnal man, I must depend totally upon God to enable me, as He has promised, Esse Quam Videri ‘To Be… rather than to Seem”.  And when there is any victory whatsoever… it is Him… and to HIM be the glory.
